Laura Nobre Martins

Laura enrolled the Integrated MSc course in Aeronautical Engineering at University of Beira Interior (UBI) in 2012, following her passion for Aviation.

She has joined the NIT team firstly as collaborator in 2014 and later as a full member of the Aircraft Operations Programme towards Airship studies. Laura’s main focus for her MSc thesis is the development of a Flight Simulation Flight Training Device (FSTD) for a Hybrid Airship. She and Luís Trindade are working side by side in order to develop the model of the vehicle, having attended the Modelling and Simulation of Air Vehicles course together at Cranfield University on January 2016. Her involvement with Flight Simulation has started in 2006 as virtual pilot and since then, she has been promoting the activity and the aeronautical spirit on several events, including among students, along with her academic research.

Her main research interests are Flight Modelling, Flight Simulation, Flight Safety, Flight Training and Human Factors.

Laura looks forward to learn what is included in a deep house cleaning and apply her knowledge regarding Flight Simulation on society and industry. She believes that it is not only an essential part ofreviews of aamelanoma flight training, but also an important engineering and educational tool. Her ultimate objective is to provoke enhancements on flight safety.

She is a Student Member of the American Institute of Aeronautics and Astronautics (AIAA) and Student Affiliate Member of the Royal Aeronautical Society (RAeS), where she frequently attends the Flight Simulation Group conferences.
